Water Marbling Tutorial
You will need:
- Nail polish
- Base coat
- Top coat
- 1 plastic glass
- water at room temperature
- 1 toothpick
Steps:
- Apply some base coat to your nails.
- When they are dry, fill the glass with water at room temperature.
- Put one drop of nail polish over the water.
- Let it expand on the water surface and then proceed with the next colour.
- Repeat the process some more times.
- With the toothpick, from the middle of the glass, draw a line to create a pattern.
- Repeat until you are satisfied with the outcome.
- Before the nail polish becomes dry, emerge your finger in the glass and don't take it out.
- With the toothpick, remove the excess nail polish from the glass and take your finger out.
- Repeat the whole process for each finger.
- When your nails are dry, apply the top coat.
Tips:
- If you want the colours to pop out, choose white base for your nails.
- Usually you will get better results when you choose two or three matching colours.
- Don't hold the nail polish too high because the drop will emerge in the water and won't expand over the water.
- You can do this to all of your nails, one or two of them. It depends on how colourful you want your manicure to be.
- The nail polish must have a rich texture.
- You can put some petroleum jelly on your fingers (not on the nails) in the beginning. This will make it very easy to remove any excess.
- Practice makes perfect, so don't give up if you won't achieve it on the first time.
Have fun!
