- 300gr. Greek yogurt (full fat or low fat)
- 1 cucumber (grated and dried)
- 1 carrot (grated) optional
- 1-2 teaspoons garlic (mushed)
- salt
- white pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon spearmint
- 60gr. extra virgin olive oil
- 2-3 tablespoons vinegar
Steps:
- In a large bowl, put the yogurt, the cucumber, the carrot, the garlic, the dill, the spearmint, the olive oil and the vinegar.
- Mix well and gently.
- Put the mixture in a serving bowl and put it in the refrigerator for at least 30' before serving.
- Serve in a platter with some olives on top and some bread sticks around the tzatziki.
Tzatziki is a traditional Greek dressing sauce. Usually it is served for meat and in a souvlaki pita, but it can also be served with chips, vegetables, bread sticks or at any occasion as a dip.
