Greek yogurt dip (Tzatziki)

You will need:

  • 300gr. Greek yogurt (full fat or low fat)
  • 1 cucumber (grated and dried)
  • 1 carrot (grated) optional
  • 1-2 teaspoons garlic (mushed)
  • salt
  • white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon spearmint
  • 60gr. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons vinegar

Steps:

  1. In a large bowl, put the yogurt, the cucumber, the carrot, the garlic, the dill, the spearmint, the olive oil and the vinegar.
  2. Mix well and gently.
  3. Put the mixture in a serving bowl and put it in the refrigerator for at least 30' before serving.
  4. Serve in a platter with some olives on top and some bread sticks around the tzatziki.
Tzatziki is a traditional Greek dressing sauce. Usually it is served for meat and in a souvlaki pita, but it can also be served with chips, vegetables, bread sticks or at any occasion as a dip.
